This is not a retreat from work. It is a period of working differently.

In August 2026, thymica and The Arctic Hideaway invite a small group of remote professionals to Fleinvær for what we call an Intreat — a structured stay where focused work and restorative practice exist side by side.

You will work here as you do at home. The difference is the environment — and the rhythm.

Between work sessions, you will be guided through intentional practices including cold exposure, meditation and somatic movement designed to sharpen your focus and regulate your nervous system. The goal here is not escape, but integration so you will leave with sustainable tools that seamlessly fit into your everyday life long after the week ends.

Meals are prepared by our on-site chef and holistic dietitian, with a focus on fresh, nourishing food that supports both health and wellbeing.

While it is possible to join for one week, we recommend a minimum of two. The first week allows the body and mind to settle into the environment; the second is where the rhythm becomes natural. A third optional week is available for those who wish to remain longer, with less structure and more space for personal integration.

This Intreat is designed for people who:

  • work remotely and have the flexibility to shape their own schedule

  • are curious about sauna, cold exposure and and practical tools for wellbeing

  • value small groups, quiet environments and a more intentional pace

The group will remain intentionally small. To make sure this intreat is the perfect fit for you, please book a discovery call with us.

The Setting

The Arctic Hideaway is a small cluster of architect-designed cabins on the island of Fleinvær, north of the Arctic Circle. There are no cars and no shops on the island.

Workspaces are distributed across several houses, including a shared studio and smaller private rooms. The sea and sauna are within a two-minute walk from every cabin.

Please be aware that we are in a fully remote place, sourrounded by nature. Internet is available and generally reliable for daily work. However, for important video calls, connection stability cannot be guaranteed.
