This is not a retreat from work. It is a period of working differently.

In June 2026, thymica and The Arctic Hideaway invite a small group of remote professionals to Fleinvær for what we call an Intreat — a structured stay where focused work and restorative practice exist side by side.

You will work here as you do at home. The difference is the environment — and the rhythm.

Between work sessions, you will be guided through cold exposure, breathwork, movement, and simple daily rituals designed to sharpen attention and regulate the nervous system. The intention is not escape, but integration: to leave with practices you can continue once you return to your everyday life.

This Intreat is perfect for anyone who wants to:

  • You work remotely and can structure your own schedule

  • You are curious about cold exposure and breathwork as practical tools

  • You prefer small groups and quiet environments

The group will remain intentionally small. Please let us know in the booking for how long you will be staying.

Food & Participation

Meals are simple and prepared together. We use local and ethically sourced ingredients whenever possible, and everything is made from scratch. The act of cooking and eating together is part of the experience.

The Setting

The Arctic Hideaway is a small cluster of architect-designed cabins on the island of Fleinvær, north of the Arctic Circle. There are no cars and no shops on the island.

Workspaces are distributed across several houses, including a shared studio and smaller private rooms. The sea and sauna are within a two-minute walk from every cabin.

Please be aware that we are in a fully remote place, sourrounded by nature. Internet is available and generally reliable for daily work. However, for important video calls, connection stability cannot be guaranteed.
